This is the final video recap of filming for Dates Like This Season 2.
This is just the end of this part – now the fun of post-production begins. Forgive us if the video is sappy but being on set every day was such an absolute joy that it was very sad to see it end. (Until Season 3 that is!)
So many people to thank who have been involved so far:
To our unstoppable director Jessica Solce, to the incredibly talented Patrick and John of Team Biscuit, to the life-saving Michael Nixon and Leah Teplin, to our beautiful magical cast, to all the PAs who came to help out, to the extras who stuck it out on the longer shoots, to Sea Witch, Le Comptoir, Drama Books for letting us come in and film, to David, Margaret, Kate and Hilary for letting us invade your apartments, to our donors and to everyone who has watched, liked or shared the show so far.
We can’t wait to share full episodes with you in June!
A bit behind in posting these – please forgive. Below are videos and tidbits about how filming is going!
Day 6 – the Concert
So for the concert, we had been searching for the right place for a while when our AD connected us with David, a talented metal sculptor in Greenpoint who not only agreed to let us film in his warehouse but also let us bring people in to do a custom spray paint job just for our show. It looked so fucking sweet. We had an awesome band, No Shoes play for us and so many extras who stuck it out for a few hours and were awesome!
Here are some pics and at the bottom a very grainy recap video.
Day 5 – at Drama Books & Central Park
We filmed in Drama Books on Day 5 and had a great but early morning. We filmed the dance show that morning and you can see the super talented Rebecca (who plays Blake) using her mad makeup artist skills to do Leigh and Marine’s makeup for the show.
We also went outside and got some cool stuff on the streets and in the park.

This is Team Biscuit. They’re filming Season 2 for us. They’re brilliant and we adore them. John’s on the left, Patrick’s on the right.
Day 4 – at Le Comptoir
Day 4′s recap video appears to be having some technical difficulties so we’re not going to post it now. We filmed all day at Le Comptoir – a beautiful restaurant in Williamsburg and we had such a great time. We were able to use the space for 3 locations and got some BEAUTIFUL stuff.
Day 3 – Brooklyn
This was a night at an awesome apartment in Brooklyn – many thanks to Kate Holland and her sweet cat Bert who let us take over for a few hours. We got some great stuff with Leigh and Matthew Gehring that night.
So here are a couple of videos to fill you in on how filming has been going so far. It’s kind of incredible to think that we’ve only had two days of filming because it feels like we’ve accomplished so much already. We’re filming tomorrow (Friday) and again on Monday and then we’ll be halfway through our film shoot! More updates will be released as we go, so stay tuned for more details.

So as some of you may have seen on Valentine’s Day – we just announced that we’re doing a second season!
We are super excited to be back with new episodes and new characters. We’ll be updating you along the way as we get cast and crew in order and stay tuned for teasers and trailers along the way. If you want to be involved in the making, shoot us an email!
So what’s coming in Season 2?
A year has passed since Meg embarked on her 31st date and Alicia jogged away from her past and into the unknown. With new jobs, new friends, and new romances, the girls are armed and ready to take on the next phase of their twenties.
This season, we’re working with ZiZ Comedy Network. They’re a Youtube Partner Channel and they’ve so graciously decided to host us. They host live comedy shows every week so be sure to tune if you’re in the mood for a laugh.
We are raising money for Season 2 on Indiegogo. Our goal is to raise $2,750 by March 31st. Check out the teaser videos, the awesome donor rewards (including a chance to be a featured extra on the show!) and more info about the show.
